Exposure
I've been reading through Understanding Exposure by Brian Peterson. Its excellent. I'm not sure I will shoot on full manual mode as much as he does but it has as lot of tips and techniques for a variety of situations. Its the best book I've come across so far to explain things.

BlackRapid
I ordered an RS-7 camera strap from BlackRapid. It looked like a great improvement on the standard around the neck strap. It arrived today but it was not the one I ordered. Contacted the company and am pleased to say they are overnighting the correct item and a shipping label to return the original. Yay for good customer service.

PTLens
I've been using the PTLens Distortion Correction Plugin. Its fast and easy to use. It automatically detects and fixes lens distortion, straightening horizons etc. It will also correct tall buildings or other vertical shots from "leaning" back.

Plugins
In addition to the Nik Software Collection, I've been using Jade and Amber, two plugins for Aperture made by Datamind. They are excellent.
